Physical Therapy

D'Youville's highly-regarded physical therapy program prepares students for general therapy practice.

A Career in Physical Therapy

D’Youville offers two distinct pathways to earn the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, the entry-level credential for this fast-growing healthcare profession.

Physical therapists work with patients who have functional impairments due to injuries or illnesses. As a physical therapist, you’ll help individuals regain movement, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or reduce permanent physical disabilities.

The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) has established the DPT as the required entry-level degree for professional practice. With D’Youville’s unique sequential pathway, you can earn both a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Physical Therapy in as little as six years.
