Our graduates have a 93% placement rate into jobs and paid post-graduate residencies, and we ensure their success through student-focused processes. As we plan for your arrival, please consult the resources below to prepare for your first professional year. We are dedicated to making your transition as smooth as possible.

The following items are important to ensuring that your educational career at D'Youville starts well. Please read and review each item carefully, responding where required. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact Juavon Bell at 716-829-8440 or email: bellju@dyc.edu.

HEALTH INSURANCE

Health Insurance is required for all Pharmacy students. If students do not already have coverage, health insurance must be obtained from D’Youville University.

A completed medical exam and immunizations are required to fulfill the admission process to the School of Pharmacy and for Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPEs).

This requirement must be completed prior to matriculation into the P1 year. For more information, please contact Dr. Mario Beccari, Director of Experiential Education at 716-829-8318 or email: beccarim@dyc.edu.

BACKGROUND CHECK

A growing number of national healthcare organizations, institutions, and state legislatures require student pharmacists to complete a criminal background check (CBC) at least once during their educational career. Since student pharmacists may be subject to criminal background checks earlier in their educational career due to Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPEs) the School of Pharmacy is requiring all students to have the Ceritphi Background Check via PharmCAS completed prior to matriculation into the P-1 year. For questions about this requirement, please contact Dr. Mario Beccari, Director of Experiential Education at 716-829-8318 or email: beccarim@dyc.edu.

FINANCIAL AID: US CITIZENS AND RESIDENTS

Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. The Director of Financial Aid at D’Youville will email information regarding tuition, fees, financial aid, and loans upon completion and submission of the FAFSA. In the interim, tuition and student fees for the academic year can be obtained by contacting Financial Aid at 716-829-7500 or emailing: financialaid@dyc.edu
