Early Aceptance at LECOM

D'Youville now partners with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) to offer well-qualified students provisional early acceptance to LECOM's School of Dental Medicine or College of Osteopathic Medicine.

High school seniors can apply for admission to D'Youville and provisional early acceptance to LECOM. Current first time in college and sophomore students in the D'Youville biology or chemistry program are also eligible for this program.

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) is the largest Osteopathic Medical School in the country and is located on three campuses, the closest one is in Erie PA.

Admissions Requirements

  • Minimum 1240 SAT combined critical reading and math (or a 26 composite ACT score)
  • 3.5 high school GPA (90%)
  • High school senior, current first-year or sophomore at D'Youville
  • Successful interview with the Math & Natural Science faculty at D'Youville and LECOM

How To Apply

  • Complete the EAP inquiry form
  • 3.5 high school GPA (90%)
  • High school senior, current first-year or sophomore at D'Youville
  • Successful interview with Math & Natural Science faculty at D'Youville and LECOM
  • Complete the LECOM admissions application
  • LECOM will review your application and, if you meet the requirements, will schedule an interview.
  • Following a successful interview, LECOM will notify you and the schools that you have designated that you qualify for a provisional letter of acceptance from LECOM.
  • Upon matriculation at D'Youville, you and D'Youville will be mailed a provisional letter of acceptance.
  • You must meet additional requirements for final acceptance to LECOM but will not have to participate in another interview.
  • Students currently attending an affiliated institution will receive the provisional letter of acceptance following their successful interview.

Lecom Policies To Remain In Good Standing

  • Maintain a 3.4 overall GPA and a 3.2 science GPA in college
  • Complete a B.S. in biology or chemistry at D'Youville
  • Complete the standard pre-requisites for medical school
  • Score a 25 or higher on the MCAT, 16 or higher on the DAT
