Steps to Apply

Students interested it D'Youville's HEOP program should submit the following academic and economic information as soon as possible.

Academic Documentation

  • A completed D'Youville Application, including:
    • official transcripts for first-year AND transfer students, and
    • SAT or ACT scores, counselor and teacher recommendations, and personal essay for first-year students.

Additional Documentation for First-Year Students

Economic Documentation

Where applicable, complete and send signed photocopies of the following documents directly to the HEOP office.

  1. Signed parents' Federal 1040 or 1040A tax forms.
  2. Social Services verification for all recipients in the household (total yearly income information only).
  3. Social Security Benefits Statements for all recipients (total yearly income information only).
  4. Child Support Statements for all recipients (total yearly income information only).
  5. Unemployment and/or Pension Summary for all recipients.
  6. Foster care documentation, including total living expenses
  7. Other income-related documentation, if requested.

Interview Process

Once a student is cleared for academic and economic eligibility, she/he will be invited in for an interview.
