Open House Planned for D’Youville’s Professional Studies Center on Medical Campus

Buffalo, New York – April 23, 2012 –  D'Youville College will hold a grand opening of its new Center for Professional Studies on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus on Tuesday, April 24 at 10:00 a.m.

It will be held in the Innovation Center lobby at 640 Ellicott Street and local dignitaries have been invited to attend.

The College leased space for a classroom and offices in the Center and is the first college/university in the research and development facility. Upgrade courses in occupational therapy and dietetics for healthcare professions will start this month and evening classes for registered nurses seeking a bachelor degree in nursing starts this fall.

Continuing education courses in Certified Public Accounting (CPA) and leadership are planned for later.

Students and faculty will be in close proximity to a number of life sciences and biotechnology startup companies located in the Center and offering collaboration and internships.

This is the second satellite campus D'Youville has established. In October, the private institution opened a facility at Brothers of Mercy Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Clarence for registered nurses seeking a bachelor's degree in nursing.
