Rehearsal
There will be a mandatory rehearsal for all graduates on Friday, May 12 at 3:00 PM at the HarborCenter. More information to come regarding the specific details.
We hope that you will be able to stay for our last Celebration Week event, ‘The Final Jam’ following at Southern Tier.
Arrival
Graduates should plan to arrive on Graduation Day to the HarborCenter at 8:30 AM in order to get lined up appropriately.
UNPACKING ADDICTION EVENT & GRADUATION FAIR
We will be hosting a Graduation Fair following our “Unpacking Addiction” event on hosted on April 12 from 12:30-1:30PM in DAC 6. We will have bookstore representatives for cap & gown pickup, class rings, giveaways, Alumni Representatives and more in order to get your prepared to graduate and become Alumni of D’Youville University!
CELEBRATION WEEK
We are in the midst of planning a week of activities to help celebrate your accomplishments here at D’Youville! This includes a Paint & Sip night, Dinner Cruise, All White Party and more!

2023 Commencement Speaker
D’Youville University Announces Keynote Speaker, Beth Macy, journalist, bestselling author and Hulu executive producer for D’Youville University graduation on May 13, 2023. Macy’s work sheds light on America’s challenge with opioid addiction and spans multiple media platforms to bring awareness to all. Her passion for mental health aligns perfectly with the transformative healthcare education and training we offer to our students and will inspire our graduates as they prepare to promote health and wellness across the world.
Macy is a Virginia-based journalist with three decades of experience and an award-winning author of three New York Times bestselling books: Factory Man, Truevine and Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors, and the Drug Company That Addicted America. Her first book, Factory Man, won a J. Anthony Lukas Prize and Dopesick was short-listed for the Carnegie Medal, won the L.A. Times Book Prize for Science and Technology, and was described as a “masterwork of narrative nonfiction” by The New York Times. Dopesick has now been made into a Peabody award-winning and Emmy-winning Hulu series on which she acted as an executive producer and co-writer. Her fourth book, Raising Lazarus: Hope, Justice, and the Future of America’s Overdose Crisis, was published on August 16, 2022. She was the first in her family to attend college, receiving a bachelor's degree in journalism from Bowling Green State University and her master’s degree in creative writing from Hollins University
