Veteran Assistance Scholarship

D’Youville offers a Veteran Assistance Scholarship to veterans and dependents of veterans to help achieve educational success in undergraduate and master’s degree programs.

The D’Youville Veterans Assistance Scholarship and Veteran Dependents Scholarship are both institutional aid that all eligible recipients qualified will receive on top of any other institutional grants or scholarships they have qualified for said aid year. This scholarship is to be packaged per academic school year as such, (Fall $2500 T&F - Spring $2500 T&F = $5000) for the Veterans Scholarship and (Fall $1500 T&F – Spring $1500 T&F = $3000) for the Dependents Scholarship.

This scholarship is applicable to all programs at D’Youville with the exception of fully-online programs.  These programs include the RN-to-BSN, MBA, MS in Nursing Education with a Clinical Focus, MS in Nursing Management and Quality Leadership, and post-master’s Long-Term Care Administration certificate.

Spring 2022 Updates

This updated D’Youville policy will replace the old Veterans Assistance Program, all student veterans currently receiving the 50% waiver policy will be grandfathered into that program.

If you are receiving the old 50% waiver policy you do not qualify for the new scholarship, no double-dipping rule applies. Dependents receiving the old waiver, Veterans Assistance Program, will be transitioned into the new scholarship policy as in most circumstances it is a better deal than the 20% waiver. All new and eligible students attending D’Youville starting Spring 2022 will fall under the new Veterans Assistance Scholarship policy. This new policy will allow D’Youville to continue to assist our student veteran and dependents population while adhering to Department of Veteran Affairs Federal Regulations on institutional aid.
