D’Youville University Earns NCAA Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence for Third Consecutive Year

D’Youville University has once again been recognized among the nation’s top NCAA Division II institutions for academic achievement, earning the Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence for the third consecutive year. D’Youville has earned this honor every year since becoming a full-time NCAA Division II member, underscoring the university’s sustained commitment to academic excellence.

The award honors Division II athletics programs that achieve an Academic Success Rate (ASR) of 90 percent or higher, a distinction reached by just 43 colleges and universities nationwide. D’Youville recorded an ASR of 91%, placing the Saints among the most academically accomplished programs in the country. The university is also one of only three East Coast Conference institutions to earn this recognition, alongside Mercy University and Molloy University.

The NCAA’s Division II ASR is a comprehensive measure that includes incoming transfers and removes those who transferred out of the school while academically eligible, while also accounting for more than 30,000 nonscholarship student-athletes across the division. Division II student-athletes continue to outperform the general student population, with federal graduation rates showing a five-percentage-point advantage.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence. D’Youville’s consistent success reflects the university’s deep commitment to supporting student-athletes both on and off the field, emphasizing academic achievement, competitive excellence, and holistic development.
