BUFFALO, NEW YORK – D'Youville University has received a $200,000 grant from the 2026 Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Fund to launch Vital Connect: Behavioral Health Wraparound Care Program, an initiative designed to improve access to mental and behavioral health services for individuals throughout the Western New York community.

Dean Shannon McCrory-Churchill has been named a 2026 Woman of Influence by Buffalo Business First, recognized for her leadership of D'Youville's Patricia H. Garman School of Nursing.

D'Youville University is the first university in the United States to launch a new reporting option through REES that connects students directly with a Confidential Advocate through the Wellness Lodge. Available around the clock, the online platform gives students more choice in how and when they seek support following sexual and gender-based violence, with confidential campus and community resources in one place.

The No. 1 private university in Western New York welcomes its largest freshman class ever, up 22 percent. Fall semester begins August 31.
