Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership Student Receives Top Award from the U.S. Department of Commerce

Buffalo, New York – August 5th, 2021 – The Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership is proud to announce Amy Brombos was just awarded the United States Department of Commerce Bronze Medal for her work at the U.S. Census Bureau.

Amy is a student in the program at the dissertation stage. She is also Partnership and Media Coordinator for the U.S. Census Bureau for New York, New Jersey, New England, and Puerto Rico. The Department of Commerce Bronze Medal is the highest honorary award bestowed to a leader of a cooperating unit.

A prestigious Bronze Medal signifies outstanding contributions to the government in the areas of leadership, personal and professional excellence, scientific/engineering achievement, organizational development, customer service, administrative/technical support, or heroism.

As our alumni continue to expand their transformational leadership reach, Amy Brombos is an exemplary ambassador.
