Lacey Bromley, BS, PhD, DPT

  • Associate Professor

Biography

Since my graduation from the University at Buffalo physical therapy program in 2008, I have focused my practice in neurological rehabilitation with an emphasis in Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I am a board-certified neurological rehabilitation specialist through the American Board of PT Specialist, and I am board certified in Multiple Sclerosis through the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers. As an Associate Professor at D’Youville, I teach the neurological rehabilitation curriculum to doctoral students in the department of Physical Therapy. I returned to the University at Buffalo to complete my PhD in rehabilitation sciences at the University at Buffalo with a focus on how nutrition impacts fatigue and exercise tolerance in MS. Over the past 11 years I have participated in multiple clinical research projects, with almost all involving persons with MS. In addition to practicing as a physical therapist, I am also an active member of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers, currently holding the position of Co-Chair of the International Organization of MS Rehabilitation Therapists. Our mission is to provide education and resources to rehabilitation therapists in the area of MS throughout the United States and Canada. To that end, I am also the director of the Susan E Bennett Therapy Specialty Training program which sends multiple rehabilitation professionals and students yearly to MS centers for a weeklong educational experience.
