Biography
Jay B. Danto, D.O. is a experienced osteopathic physician dually board-certified in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (ONMM) and in Family Medicine/OMT (osteopathic manipulative treatment). He currently serves as Associate Dean of Osteopathic Integration, OMM Interim Department Chair, and Professor of Osteopathic Medicine at D’Youville University – College of Osteopathic Medicine, proposed (DYU-COM).
Dr. Danto has been involved in osteopathic medical education throughout his career with over half his career primarily devoted to it. He has actively contributed to the osteopathic profession through extensive teaching at undergraduate and graduate professional levels, including international courses. This is the sixth inaugural faculty in which Dr. Danto has served and the fifth inaugural faculty in which he started in a leadership position. At DYU, this is his first time he’s had the opportunity to serve as an Associate Dean. Along this 15-year journey in Academia, Dr. Danto was the co-Program Director of both combined Internal Medicine/ONMM and combined Family Medicine/ONMM residency programs.
