D'Youville University has been ranked No. 159 nationally in Newsweek’s 2026 list of America’s Best Colleges for Women, placing it No. 1 in Western New York. The ranking recognizes colleges and universities that demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting the success, safety, and advancement of women in higher education.

The ranking evaluates institutions across four key areas: leadership, pay and policies, safety, and opportunity. D’Youville performed particularly well in the categories of leadership and safety, reflecting the university’s commitment to creating an environment where women are supported both academically and professionally. The ranking considers factors such as representation of women in leadership roles, campus safety data, and institutional policies that promote equity and opportunity.

“This recognition reflects the environment we work hard to create at D’Youville, one where women are supported as leaders, scholars, and professionals,” said Dr. Lorrie Clemo, president of D’Youville University. “From our classrooms to our clinical partnerships and leadership opportunities, we are committed to ensuring that women have the resources, mentorship, and support they need to succeed and make meaningful contributions in their careers and communities.”
