D'Youville University President Lorrie Clemo, announced today that Dr. David Mee will join D'Youville as Chief Enrollment Strategist beginning July 1, 2025.

In his new role, Mee will direct D'Youville's enrollment management program, with a primary focus on developing and executing strategies to attract, enroll, and retain students. He will uphold and further the institution's mission, vision, and values by fostering partnerships with faculty, staff, students, alumni, trustees, and leadership.

“I am thrilled to welcome David to D’Youville University,” said President Lorrie Clemo. “His proven ability to drive enrollment growth and lead in a collaborative fashion make him the ideal person to lead our enrollment efforts as we continue to build on our momentum and expand the opportunities available to our students in the health sciences, business, and other industry relevant majors and programs.”

Mee, a Rochester native, possesses an extensive background in higher education. He joins D'Youville from Campbell University, where he held the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management. During his tenure at Campbell, Mee initiated a new enrollment management division and streamlined data processing to improve efficiency and provide better service to prospective students. In the past two years Campbell increased first year enrollment, rising 12% in 2023 and 7% in 2024.

Prior to his five-year tenure at Campbell University, Mee served as the Associate Provost and Dean of Enrollment at Belmont University (2010-2020). During his 10 years of service Belmont’s overall enrollment grew by 36%. Mee has also worked as the Director of Enrollment Solutions and a Senior consultant for Credo Higher Education (2005-2010), Vice President for Enrollment Management at Milligan University (2001-2005), Director of Admission with Samford University (1998-2001), and Director of Admission for Houghton University (1989-1998).

Mee holds a Doctor of Education from Trevecca Nazarene University, a Master of Science from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a Bachelor's degree from Houghton University in Western New York. As a consultant, he has assisted more than 70 colleges and universities in building strong admission and retention programs. Mee prides himself on contributing to the long-term health of institutions like D’Youville.

A lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, he also enjoys playing golf. He has been married to Laura, a native of Warwick, New York, in Orange County, for 30 years. Together, they have two daughters, Jillian and Olivia.
