Buffalo, New York – July 23, 2012 – D’Youville President, Sister Denise A. Roche, GNSH, will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at a special “Women of Influence Awards” ceremony on September 20, 2012.

The awards are sponsored by Business First, Lake Shore Saving Bank and Kaleida Health.

More than two dozen area women will be honored for contributing to the community and for their business acumen and community spirit, Business First publisher Jack Connors announced. “We’re honored to recognize their accomplishments.”

New buildings and improved facilities were added to the campus and a number of new academic programs were added to the college curriculum during her presidency.

She is a Buffalo native and a D’Youville graduate. Sister Denise earned her master’s degree in sociology from Boston University and her doctorate from the University of Massachusetts.

The ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens. For ticket information, call 541-1624.
