Lynn McIvor, MS, OTR/L

Biography

Dr. McIvor earned her Master’s degree from D’Youville University and her Occupational Therapy Doctorate degree from Chatham University. Prior to working in academia, she spent her career as a clinician working with children and adolescents in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), Early Intervention, preschool, and school-based settings. Dr. McIvor had worked in the NICU at Sister’s of Charity Hospital and South Buffalo Mercy Hospital for 19 years. Her current work is focused on community practice, including co-leading the Balanced Boxing program, running programming at GiGi's Playhouse, and participating as a board member for the C-HOPE of WNY organization.

I am interested in how occupational therapy can impact communities and participants in nontraditional settings.
