Social Media Giveaway Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.

  1. Sponsor: D’Youville University is the organizer and administrator of this giveaway. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram.
  2. Eligibility: This giveaway is open to individuals who are 18 years or older and are D’Youville University students or alumni. US Residents only. Employees of D’Youville University are not eligible to participate. The giveaway is void where prohibited by law.
  3. Giveaway Period: The giveaway begins on April 14 9:00 AM EST and ends on April 16, 2026, 5:00 PM EST.
  4. How to Enter: Participants must complete the following steps during the Giveaway Period:
  5. Follow @dyouville_u on Instagram and follow @dyouvilleu on TikTok
  6. Like the designated giveaway post and comment by tagging at least one other individual in the comments section.

Participants may enter only once per post. Multiple entries or automated entries will be disqualified.

  1. Prizes: One signed Buffalo Sabres jersey will be awarded. The winner will also receive a certificate of authentication. No cash or other prize substitution is permitted.
  2. Winner Selection and Notification: The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period. The Instagram follow and TikTok follow will be verified before the prize is awarded. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The random drawing will be conducted on April 16.

The winner will be notified via direct message on Instagram. The winner must respond within 7 days to claim their prize., If the winner does not respond within this time frame, an alternate winner will be selected.

  1. General Conditions: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or violates these rules.

Release and Limitations of Liability: By entering, participants release and hold harmless D’Youville University, and Instagram from any liability, injury, loss, or damage to persons or property arising from or related to participation in this giveaway or the acceptance, use or misuse of the prize.
  3. Privacy: Any information collected during this giveaway will be used in accordance with the D’Youville University privacy policy. Personal data will not be shared with third parties.
  4. Governing Law: This giveaway is governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws principle.
