Jason Goldstein, MD

Biography

Dr. Goldstein earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2014 and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2017. 

Committed to improving access to healthcare globally, Dr. Goldstein has participated in international medical outreach efforts in Chiang Mai, Thailand; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Guayaquil, Ecuador, providing care to underserved populations. Following residency, he practiced throughout the United States as a locum tenens physician before returning to his hometown of Buffalo, New York.

In Buffalo, Dr. Goldstein has served as a hospitalist at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, a physician advisor for Catholic Health, and a clinical teaching attending at Sisters Hospital. He is deeply committed to medical education and mentorship, finding great fulfillment in supporting the growth of residents and medical students as they develop clinical knowledge, judgment, and confidence throughout their training.

In 2025, Dr. Goldstein received the David J. Martinke, D.O. Distinguished Educator Award in recognition of his dedication to physician education and resident training.

Research Interests

Dr. Goldstein’s research interests include social determinants of health, global health and international patient care, and quality improvement in hospital medicine.
