Welcome to the Patricia H. Garman School of Nursing! Much has changed since D’Youville offered the region’s first four-year nursing degree in 1942, but one thing has remained the same – our dedication to your success. D’Youville University has a proud tradition of educating exceptional nurses, nurse practitioners, nurse educators, and nurse leaders ready to make an impact on the global community. You will find our graduates engaged in a wide array of the many opportunities nursing has to offer. From educating the next generation of nurses and nurse educators, managing complex care at the bedside and in the community, to generating cutting edge research ideas and patenting new technologies that impact patient safety. How you make your mark with your D’Youville Nursing degree is only limited by what you can imagine. Whether you want to make a difference in the rural community, be the Chief Nursing Officer of a major healthcare agency, work with our nation’s Veterans or impact the lives of children as a school nurse, the path to your dream career starts here.

We welcome you to explore our extensive portfolio of Nursing programs, from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree to the Master of Science degree in nursing and the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. D’Youville is here for you no matter if your goal is to obtain your first nursing degree, or if you are seeking a place to grow through your doctoral degree. Each of our degrees and post-master’s certificates are accredited through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) through 2027.

We provide state of the art advanced simulation and interprofessional education through our Center for Simulation and Clinical Practice offering hands on, collaborative opportunities for students. Most recently, we have been awarded a $3.96M HRSA-NEPQR-MHTP Grant to increase access to care in rural and provider shortage areas. This grant also aligns with our dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion offering opportunities to students for whom university attendance presents unique challenges. We are excited about a great many other things happening at the school as well, and hope to have an opportunity to share our excitement with you.

The entire D’Youville family is ready to welcome you as you learn more about the university, our mission, vision and values, and why we “never refuse to serve.” If you would like to know more about the School of Nursing, life at D’Youville, or what makes us stand out from other nursing programs, we invite you to connect with us. Whether via email, phone or a visit to campus to meet us, our dedicated faculty and staff look forward to sharing the innovative ideas, cutting edge curriculum and exciting programs we have available. There is always something new at D’Youville. Whether a prospective student, faculty or staff member, or an alumnus looking to reconnect, we’ve built a solid foundation, and hope you will be part of our bright future.
